Reality is not what we see
Polished crystals and shiny surfaces reflect the light of the environment in a very special way. Sometimes the mirrored objects appear distorted and wide or extravagant and colorful. The light refractors function like the eyes of a fly that perceive something different from what we humans perceive. The world we see appears only to us in that way. In a number of oil paintings I have attempted to capture this phenomenon of relative reality in an artistic manner.
